When we add Jesus but don't subtract sin, we are not following God's gospel." (Patrick Morley,U.S. Christian curent author)

Christianity means a lot more than church membership.  Going to church doesn't make you a Christian anymore than going to a garage makes you an automobile.  Conversion is a complete surrender to Jesus.  It's a willingness to do what He wants you to do.  Billy Sunday.

The manner in which the family worship is conducted is very important.  It should be made so pleasant as to be looked forward to with gladness even by the youngest children.  Too often it is made tedious, monotonous or burdensome... To make it dull and irksome is treason to true religion.... A few minutes given every day to preparation for family worship will serve to make it, as it shoule be, the most pleasant and attractive incident of the day. J. R. Miller, Week-day Religion, pp 79-81, from Bible Reading for the Home, 9675, Paper Back Edition.

Life without love is a subhuman kind of existence.  There is a built-in need in us to receive love.  We need the love of parents.  We need the love of family and friends.  We need to be part of a loving community.  But just as we need to receive love, we also need to give love.  We are not truly human if we cannot love.  But let's be clear; true love does not begin with us.  The capacity for love is created in us by our Creator (ref. Gen. 1:26 and John 3:16).Sabbath School Teachers Quarterly, April, May, June 2009, p.6

The home in which the members are polite, courteous Christians, exerts a far-reaching influence for good.  Other families will mark the results attained by such a home and will follow the example set, in their turn guarding the home against satanic influences.  Happiness Homemade, p17

In calling God our Father, we recognize all His children as our bretheren.  We are all a part of the great web of humanity, all members of family (excerpts from The Mount of Blessing, p105)

It's one thing to have a knowledge about the nature of God, the plan of salvation, the second coming , and the right Sabbath day. But what happens to our witness if our lives don't reflect the love and character of God who created these truths? (Sabbath School Teachers Quarterly, June 28, 2009, p. 6 )
